“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” —Ephesians 2:10

Everyone wants to change the world. But how do you define real impact?

Do you define impact by the total number of followers or likes? Do you define impact by being invited to the right places with the right people? Or maybe you define impact by achievements, where your contribution to the world is measured in trophies or scores. If so, here’s a hard truth: trophies and likes can make an impact, but not truly matter.

Real impact happens when God works through us. And when we grasp this truth, the way we see our lives and the world around us changes. Make It Matter shows how much difference a life empowered by the Word can make; how Jesus is the power source for a life that matters; how God designed us to impact the world together; and how trusting in God’s plan is the key to real impact.

Speaker: Ian Dunaway

Ian has served in student ministry for the past 15 years, beginning full-time ministry at age 22. In that time he's served as a High School Pastor, Student and Family Ministry Pastor, Lead Student Pastor, and currently a Teaching Pastor. In addition, he served at LifeWay Christian Resources in Nashville, TN as the Brand Owner and Editor of Bible Studies for Life: Students. Ian is passionate about equipping students to be self-feeding Christians who can passionately study and apply God’s Word to their lives in a practical way. His heart is for developing and equipping leaders to make disciples and live in community. There is no greater joy for the Dunaways than seeing God work in and transform people’s lives as they live out and share the Gospel locally and beyond.

Big Give Partner: Sleep in Heavenly Peace

All children deserve a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads. Across the US, too many boys and girls go without a bed—or even a pillow—to sleep on. These children end up sleeping on couches, blankets, and even floors. This can affect their happiness and health.

That’s where Sleep in Heavenly Peace comes in. This organization is a group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling, and delivering top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need. We have a local chapter right here in LaGrange, Ga that we partnered with in 2020 and we are looking forward to helping them get even more children a bed of their own!

We are asking that every student bring 1 NEW Twin size bedding item with them to check-in. This can include pillows, sheets, blankets, comforters, pillow cases, mattress toppers, etc.)

In addition, we are in the works of scheduling an Exit 18 bed build in March for us to be able to participate in as a community!
