our town

Our Town, the children's ministry at Rosemont, is an exciting place designed just for kids from Kindergarten to 5th grade.  Our goal is that when kids come here, they learn about God's awesome plan for their lives!  Whether they are at worship in Praise Park, at snacks in Solid Rock Cafe', or in one of the many stores (classrooms) down Blessings Boulevard, kids are sure to have a blast and never want to leave!

Sunday Mornings

Sunday mornings in Our Town is an hour each week that your child won’t forget! Classes are offered at 9:30 & 11:00am for students K-5th. This enables children to be a part of corporate worship with their families and attend Sunday School the opposite hour. Children start their hour in Praise Park where we celebrate birthdays, announce upcoming children's events, experience high energy worship, music and movement and introduce the Bible Story for the week. Kids then divide into grade level groups and continue their bible study with loving teachers in the local shops of Our Town. Children in Kindergarten are offered the opportunity to participate in both hours of Sunday School, however, 1st through 5th grades should attend corporate worship with their parents.

Wednesday Nights

Our Town Kids also know as OTK is Rosemont's mid-week gathering for children K-5th Grade.  At OTK, kids will learn about different Biblical characters each week, and be be challenged to memorize scriptures that coincide with the lessons taught.  Children participate in individual Grade level activities as well as large group bible study sessions.  They end their evening with a time of worship with high energy music and movement before being dismissed.  Times are 6:00pm - 7:30pm.

Safety & Procedures

The safety and security of your child is always top priority when they are here at Rosemont. All teachers have been screened through local and national background checks. There are always at least two teachers in each classroom. We take very seriously the trust you place in us when leaving your child in our care. Below are steps we take to ensure their safety:

CHECK-IN & PICK-UP PROCEDURE

First-Time Visitors (for children birth-5th grade):

On your first visit to Rosemont, you will be asked to complete a Visitor's Registration Form for your family. Your child will be given a security name badge and you will be given a security card. Both the name badge and your card will include a corresponding number. Your card will be used for security purposes for retrieving your child. Please be sure to include any medical/guardianship information needed in order for us to best care for your child.

Parents of preschoolers are asked to please leave cell phone numbers with someone at the check-in desk. If needed during the ministry session, we will be able to text or call you.

Returning Visitors & Members (for children birth-5th grade):

Drop Off: After your initial visit, your child's information will be stored in our computer for future visits. You will now simply go to the check-in kiosk either in My Father's Garden or Our Town and follow the steps on the screen to print out name badges and security cards for your child(ren). You may print all of the the badges from one computer even if some are attending other ministry areas.

Pick-up:

When coming to get your child, you will be asked to show your security badge for the teacher to match the number with your child's name badge. Our pick-up policy for children from birth-5th grade is that they must be picked up by individuals who are at least 16 years of age, and who have their matching security badge with them. This policy is just another step in maintaining your child's safety while on our campus. If your parent security badge becomes lost, please visit the check-in desk. Someone there will be able to assist you with retrieving your child.
