PRIMERA IGLESIA HISPANIA DE LAGRANGE

In 1998, the fellowship of Rosemont saw the need to begin a church plant that could minister to the specific needs of the growing hispanic community in our city. Through God's providence, all the pieces of the puzzle fell into place in order to launch this new ministry.

Primera Iglesia Hispania de LaGrange became the first Spanish language church ever formed in Troup County. Rosemont seized the opportunity to purchase an available church facility on South Greenwood Street, which launched the beginning of a dynamic ministry that has reached many countries and nationalities as people migrate in and out of the US.

Hugo Oropeza serves as Pastor of this fellowship and is joined and supported by his wife, Sandy, and their three children.

Jay Hernandez, and his wife, Lisa (who was a member of Rosemont from an early age), serve as the ministers of music in worship at the hispanic mission. They have two children who serve alongside them.
