Dawn Mason

In her own words:

"It was during my late husband Arvid Wakefield's battle with ALS that God radically changed my life and ignited a passion and love in me for women's ministry. God has shown me that He will not waste one single thing we walk through and that He will use even the most difficult seasons of our life to reveal His glory and prove to us that He is enough, even if...

I am passionate about pouring into other women, in hopes that they will see themselves through God’s eyes and that they will realize their story does matter! We are all created for a specific purpose, designed perfectly by God and equipped with the power of the Holy Spirit to fulfill that purpose the moment we surrender our lives to Him!

I wouldn’t trade one minute of this journey, the good, the bad and the excruciatingly painful, because it is exactly what God used to bring me to the place where I realized that He is enough, EVEN IF!"

Children's Harbor

Located on Lake Martin in Alexander City, AL, this beautiful campus is only 1.5 hours away from Rosemont. On the grounds there is a replica of the Plymouth Lighthouse, which is visible from the Kowaliga Bridge, and even a small cabin that, legend has it, is where Hank Williams Sr. was staying when he and Fred Rose wrote the fan favorite “Poor ol Kaw-Liga" and another classic tune, "Your Cheatin' Heart."

Our Women's Retreat will be held at the Harbor Lodge section of the grounds, which has 11 guest cabins that create a tranquil connection with nature. Each cabin contains 4 rooms (each room is keyed separately), and each cabin room has 2 twin beds, 1 set of bunk beds, 1 twin pull out sofa, and a private, handicap accessible bathroom. There are also areas for recreation that include a screened-in activity room, basketball court, volleyball court, horseshoe pit, canoes, and of course beautiful lake views/access.

All the proceeds from our rental of this facility will go towards helping Children's Harbor continue their mission of serving seriously ill children and their families through no-cost services, camps and other events focused on making their lives a little easier.
